Burnout Poem
When career light has been dimming
and the treadmill just won't stop
your energy now draining
with frustrations fit to pop
The dragging of your body
each day it’s into work
your steps no longer steady
instead just thin ice lurks
Then one day as you’re sliding
that ice - it shows some cracks
you see them ever clearly
alongside those fading tracks
You deny it could be burnout
hours drift in escape dreams
you know there’s something wrong
as there's creaks at all the seams
It does not have to be so
leave the ice and find our rock
we just know you’ll find your footing
when you join our friendly flock
So if you’re truly wanting
all work suffering to cease
just make that one decision
and fly to Burnout Geese
and the treadmill just won't stop
your energy now draining
with frustrations fit to pop
The dragging of your body
each day it’s into work
your steps no longer steady
instead just thin ice lurks
Then one day as you’re sliding
that ice - it shows some cracks
you see them ever clearly
alongside those fading tracks
You deny it could be burnout
hours drift in escape dreams
you know there’s something wrong
as there's creaks at all the seams
It does not have to be so
leave the ice and find our rock
we just know you’ll find your footing
when you join our friendly flock
So if you’re truly wanting
all work suffering to cease
just make that one decision
and fly to Burnout Geese
